Louise Chantál is a 21-year-old, British-Guyanese, vocalist, songwriter, model, and creative director. On December 9th, 2016, the NYC-based artist released her debut independent project, Welcome to Aranbi. The 11-track performance piece was written in it’s entirety by Chantál and executively produced by Grammy Award winner Syience. Chantál has since then lent her songwriting and vocal abilities to Bermudian Producer/DJ Noise Cans in February of 2017 for his latest single “Caan Dun,” released through Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records label. Following a small string of NYC-performance dates, in March Chantál headlined a showcase at the SXSW Music Festival, performed alongside Noise Cans during Miami Music Week, and then joined him on multiple dates for Jillionaire of Major-Lazer’s Chicken-N-Beer event series throughout the summer. Most recently, Chantál made her debut at NYFW by opening for Adriana Sahar at Style Fashion Week, performing for MCM x Red’s private party, and closing out Everyday People’s last session of the summer at La Marina. Thus far, Chantál’s music has been featured by Fader, Time Magazine, Revolt TV, Spotify, Mass Appeal, and Wonderland, to just name a few. Simultaneously the “style aesthete,” as she was defined in a feature by Vogue, has modeled for brands including ELLE, JoyRich, MATTE, and Valfre, acted as a social media influencer for companies such as Puma, Nastygal, Lime Crime, and Ego, and directed editorials featured on Lady Gunn, Saint Heron, Galore, MISSBISH, and more.
